Fryer - Finally in New Zealand

Fryer machine tools are hand built, American made machines representing the highest quality and value available today. Built by skilled craftsmen, using the highest quality inspection tools and techniques, these machines are designed and built for years of trouble free use. Known throughout the industry for high accuracy and durability, Fryer offers a full range of machining centres from tool-room style bed mills to high performance machining centres and an impressive line of tool-room flat bed CNC lathes and high performance slant bed turning centres and mill-turn centres.

Founded in 1982 by Larry Fryer, Fryer Machine Systems are celebrating their 25th year. The company was started as an engineering firm specialising in machine tool retrofits and custom machinery. Experimenting with different tool-room mill designs, Fryer produced its first bed type mill (MB-14) in 1994. This three-axis machine had handles and a quill for full manual use yet could be used completely automatically for CNC use. Vastly improved but true to the original concept, it is still one of the best selling machines today and is very popular with tool-makers.

The incredible success of these machines led to further development of a complete line of milling and turning machines. Today, Fryer manufactures 35 models of machine tools in its modern 50,000-sq/ft facility in Patterson, NY. The workforce is a homegrown collection of craftsmen from throughout New England where building machines is an endemic way of life.

Fryer machines have achieved very competitive pricing without compromising quality. Only the best materials and components are used in their construction. True to the Fryer philosophy of producing top performing machines, they include an impressive list of standard features that are simply not available or are optional extra's on other leading US brands - such as: Rigid box-way construction (RBW consistently out-cut linear guide-ways with greater dampening, less vibration and supreme rigidity & durability), Certified FC3 meehanite castings, Double-nut ball-screws, 2500 rpm Rigid tapping, All axis Laser Calibrated and ballbar verified (0.0024mm rpt accuracy on entire length of travel), Colour touch screen, Conversational programming, High speed controllers (1,300 lines per sec), DXF file converter, 30 Mtrs/min rapid travel (Turcite-B coated slide- ways on all axis), 2 second tool change time to name a few. The Fryer philosophy is simple and effective: (1) Build reliable machines by choosing the best components. (2) Build affordable machines by keeping the technology simple. (3) Build quality machines by being fanatical about inspection (350 individual QC inspections for the MC-P series for example). This philosophy has paid off with Fryer being one of the fastest growing machine tool companies in America.

Fryer is fortunate to have a dedicated network of distributors providing sales, service and application engineering worldwide. All distributors are factory trained on both mechanical and control maintenance repairs providing exceptional service.

Sinot NZ has been appointed the exclusive agent for Fryer Machine Tools for New Zealand. When asked, Larry Fryer said, "Sinot had an excellent reputation and a philosophy like Fryer themselves. It's about providing your customers with what they need to do the job well. Agents like this are rear these days" Larry Fryer is excited about the Australasian market and is taking a personal interest in NZ to ensure a smooth market entry and develop an excellent reputation here.

The company's mission is also simple: (1) To offer user-friendly, high quality, affordable machine tools. (2) To assist customers' growth by providing innovative solutions to their manufacturing requirements. (3) To offer a consistently high level of customer support to distributors and end users alike. Quality, reliability and affordability can go hand in hand. It takes a great workforce, dedicated distributors and dedicated after sales service. Fryer religiously follows this philosophy.

Fryer has a book full of testimonials. The following probably some them all up nicely: "We have bought several top brand machines. When we looked at Fryer, we were a little worried about the lower cost. But the Fryer has proved to be our stand out machine. As far as I'm concerned, Fryer will be our only machine supplier in the future." Brian Thompson. "They are easier to use and much more accurate than other machines." Richard Cronkhite. "This is the best machine we have purchased in the last few years." Bill Clark
